Four Building Blocks of Superintendent Leadership

I, the Superintendent, pledge to:

  • Train principals in the Seven Building Blocks of Principal Leadership and the Six Building Blocks of Values Infusion.
  • Twice a year, fax ValuesFirst updates and assessments to principals. Evaluate the assessments and make recommendations for improvement and/or praise principals for successes.
  • When visiting schools, assess the principal's level of implementation by asking principals, teachers, and students Values Infusion questions, looking for evidence of the Infusion of Values into the school's culture, and encourage teachers and principals to use the Values Infusion Methodology and terminology in all forms of communication.
  • Fax a year-end assessment to all principals. Evaluate each assessment and follow up by recognizing and/or praising principals who have successfully implemented the Seven Building Blocks of Principal Leadership.
